Sikh Golden Temple

Harmandir Sahib — the Golden Temple of Amritsar — is the spiritual center of Sikhism, a low gilded sanctuary rising from the still water of the Amrit Sarovar. Overlaid with some 750 kg of gold leaf under Maharaja Ranjit Singh in 1830, its dome reads as warm metal mirrored in dark blue-green water.

This system distills that singular view: luminous gold against a deep teal pool, edged in white marble pietra-dura inlay and deep carpet red. It is warm, reverent, and aniconic — ornament without idols, gilding without glare.
