Pantone Ultra Violet

In December 2017 the Pantone Color Institute crowned 18-3838 Ultra Violet its Color of the Year for 2018, framing the electric blue-violet as a hue of the cosmos — mystical, forward-looking and quietly authoritative. The launch imagery set the swatch against a deep indigo night sky rendered as a nebula gradient, not the white print stock of a traditional chip book.

This system rebuilds that moment: one confident violet, clean geometric grotesque type, generous negative space and a single starlit gradient. Everything serves the hue. Colour blocks read like Pantone chips, mono tags echo PMS codes, and the dark cosmos keeps the violet glowing rather than decorative.

2017 年 12 月，潘通色彩研究所将 18-3838 Ultra Violet 评为 2018 年度代表色， 把这抹通电般的蓝紫定义为「宇宙的神秘」——前卫、权威，又带一点玄秘气质。官方发布 画面没有沿用色卡册那种白纸印刷感，而是把色块放进深靛蓝的夜空，以星云渐变的方式 呈现。

这套系统重现了那一刻：一种笃定的紫、干净的几何无衬线字体、慷慨的留白，以及一道 星光渐变。所有元素都为这抹紫服务。色块像潘通色卡，等宽小标签呼应 PMS 编号，而深邃 的宇宙背景让紫色持续发光，而非沦为装饰。
