Stock Certificate

The early-twentieth-century US stock certificate was bank-note-grade craftsmanship pressed into the service of capital. Houses like the American Bank Note Company steel-engraved each one in fine green guilloché over a gold under-tint, anchored by an allegorical industrial vignette and sealed with an embossed gold medallion. Dominantly green — the color of money itself — these documents wore florid copperplate company names and ruled par-value blocks. This system rebuilds that Wall Street paper-security aesthetic as a living design language: saturated green ground, warm engraving-paper panels, and filigree that reads as both ornament and anti-counterfeiting device.
