The Soviet Ruble system draws from the 1920s chervonets — currency engraved by Goznak in revolutionary red ink, dense with worker-and-peasant imagery, wheat sheaves, and the hammer-and-sickle. Born of the 1922–1924 monetary reform, it fused the new state's constructivist graphic program with the high craft of intaglio engraving. Here it is rendered on its darkened engraved-red ground: heavy industrial caps, diagonal agitprop blocking, fine-line guilloche, and disciplined red-black-gold contrast. Nothing genteel, nothing decorative — every element is built to agitate and instruct.
